Ninetales: Base Set
This card was included in the Base Set, first released in the Japanese Expansion Pack. It was reprinted in the Base Set 2 expansion. It was reprinted again as a Non Holofoil card in the Japanese Pokémon Web set. It was reprinted once again in the Legendary Collection expansion. In the American version of the video game Pokémon Trading Card Game, the two available Ninetales cards (this and the one exclusive to Game Boy) have their name misspelled as Ninetails, although the name Ninetales is shown correctly in the description of this card's Fire Blast attack. The misspelling was fixed in the European versions. A small number of these cards lack Fire Blast's base damage. Fire Blast is a move in the Pokémon games that Ninetales can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
